Mohammed bin Rashid attends Derby race in UK, meets Queen Elizabeth II in the presence of Hamdan Bin Mohammed

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended today the the Epsom Derby horse race in the attendance of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the UK.

The world's most famous flat race was also watched by HRH Princes Haya bint Al Hussein, wife of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Majed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

On the sidelines of the race, Sheikh Mohammed met with the Queen and exchanged talks about the festival. Husband of Queen Elizabeth Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and Prince Andrew and a number of royals were present at the meeting.

Sheikh Mohammed also met with Prince Agha Khan, a famous horse owner, and talked about issues related to horse racing.

Mohammed bin Zayed attends poetry session of Dubai CP

His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces attended today evening the poetry session in which H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, recited his poems.

Held at Al Ain Conference Centre here at Al Khubaisi, the event was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, H. H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, other Sheikhs, Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, senior officials and a number of poetry fans.

Mohammed attends ceremony for Leadership Programme graduates Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the graduation ceremony of the Mohammed bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development.
The ceremony also saw the attendance of Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Also present at the ceremony were Education Minister and Chairman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources Humaid Mohammed Obeid Al Qattami, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development Abdul Rahman Mohammed Nassir Al Owais, State Minister Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shebani, other sheikhs, heads of government departments and institutions and senior officials. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid receives GCC Secretary in the presence of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdul latif bin Rashid Al Zayani in the presence of Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, at Zaabeel Palace today.

They exchanged views on the GCC march and the importance of joint work to boost the foundations of peace and stability in the region.
They also touched on the GCC initiative for Yemen, highlighting its significance for achieving stability and unity for the people of Yemen.


Al Zayani praised the positive role of the UAE in supporting all GCC related issues.

The meeting was also attended by Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, State Minister Reem Ibrahim Al Hashemi and Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman. Hamdan Bin Mohammed: We support Duaij at the Asian Karate elections

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, his support for the vice president of both the UAE and the Arab Karate, and the president of the organizing committee of Karate Duaij Jassim Al Raesi, to the union election of the Asian Karate scheduled in China next July, and expressed his happiness in victory any Of UAE nationals in foreign sports events to represent the country in a positive way. This came during his reception, the candidate of the UAE and the GCC Duaij to the elections of the yellow continent yesterday morning in the presence of the Executive Director of the Federation of UAE Taekwondo and Karate, Mahmoud Abbas. Frankie Dettori was aboard the winning 4-year-old colt owned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The race was also watched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Minister of Finance , and HRH Princes Haya bint Al Hussein, wife of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and other dignitaries from UAE




Sheikh Mohammed, who owns Godolphin Stable, received the trophy from Prince Philip. Queen Elizabeth II was at the races, having attended every Royal Ascot meeting since 1945. (June 15, 2011)
